How to Prove God Exists to Atheists

So, you’re an Atheist?

Okay, you may not believe in God, but do you believe that your mind exists?

Sure you do, if not how do you suppose to read and understand the things I wrote? But how do you prove that your mind exist? Neuroscience could say that there are pulses or hormones, or synapsis or whatever that prove the existence of an ‘activity’ in your brain. But there hasn’t been any technology that can read your mind, imagination, or memory, vividly. We are living in a dystopia society and a black mirrored future, but mind reading machine still need to be develop for years ahead.

You might say, “Well, the mind exists and we can prove it subjectively and objectively with tools. And like black hole or far away space objects, we will get the accurate data eventually. It’s not Schrodinger’s cat: the mind does exist. But God, on the other hand…”

Let me put it this way then. Your mind, exist. The things you think about, exist in your mind: the imagination, the stories, the myths, the dreams. If you think about God, then She/He exists. If you think God does not exists, it won’t cause God to disappear from other people’s head.

In the end, we will mind our own mind. At least the ‘idea’ of God is in your Atheist head, then the existence or non-existence of God, does exists in your head too. Atheist don’t need to prove the existence of God. It doesn’t matter. But existence of the self, of identity, of politics and other abstract stuff, most atheists feel the need to prove them. Ergo, atheism is a belief system, just like religion. It’s institutionalized by all things secular.

God is problematic because He/She/It is dialectic historically. But the people who believe, are kind of ahistoric when it comes to this discussion. The history or dialectic of God will dissolve the foundation of God as an almighty and infinite being. If God is always changing, then there will be a possibility that it does not exist, and it bugs all the religious people. Atheists in a sense of dialectical, factual based argument, are supposed to be flexible.

But reality is hard, everybody knows that. Even for Atheists, reality is hard. We want to give meaning to our lives , and if we are unable to do so, if we feel that our lives are irrelevant, we need guidance. Religious people get it from their preachers. Atheist or moderately religious people get them from psychologists orang psychiatrist.

We are all human after all. We are all unique, but none of us are special. We need to worship something, and those who say they don’t, are hypocrites.

  1. Sorry if I misinterpret you. No lies intended.

Anyway, hope you get the idea that existence are nothing more than a phenomena, a story we made to give meaning, function etc.

I don’t believe in God. Or his/her/its/ existence as a being. I do believe its abstract existence and values.

    Nice talking to you dude.

  2. what a poor argument and no atheist thinks you have a valid position.
Yep, my mind exists. Plenty of evidence for that and plenty of evidence that it is a product of the brain. So we have you trying to claim that your version of some god is the creator of this brain/mind. Evidence for that? Most, if not every other theist makes the same claim, so you need to show your god exists, no other ones do and that the mind comes from something other than the brain. I’ll be happy to see your evidence for these things.
We do in fact have machines that can see what the brain is doing and I note that you try to wiggle out of that fact by adding “vividly” to try to validate your false claim. When we do have a machine that does this, your claim will be false again. theists always have to try to lie and hope there isn’t anythign ever invented in the future.
“The things you think about, exist in your mind: the imagination, the stories, the myths, the dreams. If you think about God, then She/He exists. If you think God does not exists, it won’t cause God to disappear from other people’s head. ”
That is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve read in a while. by your claim, then every single god that humans have ever thought of exist. It doesn’t matter if someone thinks about some god, that thinking doesn’t make the god become existential. It’s just a figment of the imagination like Darth Vader, or the tooth fairy. That we can think about thinks doesn’t make them real.
“But existence of the self, of identity, of politics and other abstract stuff, most atheists feel the need to prove them. Ergo, atheism is a belief system, just like religion. It’s institutionalized by all things secular.”
Atheism isn’t a belief system but it’s always great to see a theist insist that they are, so desperate to try to make believe everyone is “really” like them. Happily, we aren’t. Atheism is the conclusion that there are no god/gods. You are an atheist just like me; you only believe in one more god than I do. So, do you have atheism as a belief system?
you try to lie and claim that everyone must worship something. Nope, we don’t. All you are doing is trying to normalize your nonsense.

    1. I never said that (1) I believe in God and (2) God is the creator. On the contrary, I think God is created by the mind.

Things created by the mind exists first in the mind. Any concept of God never manifested itself as material, except in culture and symbolic power play.

Darth Vader exists. You can buy the merch. It gives disney millions of dollars. Like God give the church millions of dollars. Hehehe.

      1. Oh my. Sorry, but you have claimed you believe in your god when you try to post an argument on how great your argument against atheists is in showing that this god exists. Why are you trying to deny what you have said before?

Like so many theists, you need to capitalize the word atheist, when it doesn’t need it at all. You also use arguments that theists try so very hard to use against atheists e.g. “Ergo, atheism is a belief system, just like religion. It’s institutionalized by all things secular.”

Darth Vader, as a character, does exist. So, is this god just a character?

If you aren’t a theist, why do you try to use their arguments? It seems that at best, you are one of those funny people who want to make believe that they are superior to everyone, with no evidence for that.

      2. I am an Atheist who does ritual. hahaha… i dont believe in any religion or God whatsoever. But I believe that the concept of God exists, and it control most people’s lives.

When I say ‘institution’, i was refering to the apparatus that controls people’s mind—Althusser’s concept. So both theists and atheists are trap within this narratives. we got schools, scriptures, courts, supermarket, brand, church, you name it… all are organized and institutionlized.

God(s) are definetely characters. He/She/They are superheroes of the past. today we have DC vs Marvel, the Hindus got Ravayan and Mahabarath. Same as state ideologies, martyr, national heroes, facism, democracy, whatever, they are all mere stories that we took seriously.

I am not a theist, I am using this argument so we can talk. and I hope theist people want to talk too. Healthy discussiom during a pandemic is important. Its a sort of therapeutic meditation. Hahahaha

      3. “lame attempt at excuses,” “typical response of someone who doesnt want to take responsibility”, “as usual”… aaand… “like so many theist.” as if all theist cant argue.
all the things i wrote has academic references. you can point at any argument i made, i will gladly give you the title of the book snd the author.

      4. Me: I can prove that God exist in the mind.
You: of course that’s because you are a theist.
        Me: No, I’m not.
You: If you’re not a theist and you are using their argument, you are lame.
        Me: That’s ad hominem
You: You don’t understand what ad hominem is.
        Me: giving example.
        You: you have no idea.
Me: here is a list of author and their topics you should read: Louis Althusser on Ideological State Apparatus, Jacque Lacan on the “imagination and reality”, Zizek on Ideology, Harrari on Stories and ideology (you can find this topics on his three books). Mind you, all of those writers are Atheists.
